Many of us look back on our high school years and shudder. Adolescence is already a challenge and for athletes looking to showcase their performance and contributions to...
At Futbol Drones one of the most rewarding aspects of the relationship we have with our clients is the constant feedback loop. We provide the footage and bring our passion to filming matches and players but the players, coaches and organizers inspire us to innovate after each project, in a cycle of “kaizen”, or continuous improvement.
It’s no surprise that the culture of continuous improvement, which these clubs bring to their teams would trickle even to us, from behind the lens. After filming multiple matches, I learned that one coach (Gina) uses film and learning tools in video sessions with her teams, sometimes with players that aren’t even a decade old yet. With their pens in hand and their tally sheets the player can step back and engage in active learning and analysis of their own match – looking for effective passing and receiving, defense, providing support plans, key snap decision making, scanning the field, and applying pressure, to name a few. It helps too if there is pizza and soda while watching!
These clubs and the coaches that lead them each have their own approach to match analysis and it is fascinating to watch and learn the manner in which they choose to use our footage to create an experience for their players, to create a culture of “Kaizen”.
See below for footage of a match I filmed and the template for the treasure hunt coach Gina used with her players and contact goal@futboldrones.com if you’re interested in bringing a similar experience to your team.
